Creating an Email Account with Your Own Domain Print

Owning your own domain comes with the benefit of creating custom email addresses. This guide will walk you through the steps to add an email account to your domain using your billing dashboard and cPanel control panel.

Creating an Email Account through Your Billing Dashboard

  1. Log in to Your Billing Account

  2. Navigate to Services

    • Click the Services link in the top navigation.
    • Select My Services from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Your Hosting Account

    • Hover over your active hosting accounts and select the one where you want to create an email account.
  4. Create Email Account

    • Scroll down to Quick Create Email Account.
    • Enter your desired email address, choose a password, and click the +Create button.

Creating an Email Account in cPanel Control Panel

  1. Log in to cPanel

    • Find your cPanel login information in the Control Panel Information section of your EpicHoster Hosting Account Welcome email.
    • If you don’t have this information, retrieve your welcome email by logging into your billing account and clicking HELLO, [NAME]! in the top right corner. Select Email History from the drop-down menu and find the email with the subject Hosting Account - Welcome!.
  2. Access Email Accounts

    • In cPanel, locate and click the Email Accounts icon in the Email section.
  3. Set Up Your Email Account

    • Choose the name for your email account, create a strong password, and set the mailbox quota (default is 1024MB, but you can increase it or select Unlimited).
  4. Specify Your Domain

    • Enter your domain in the Email field. For example, info@yourdomain.com.
  5. Create Account

    • Click the Create Account button. Your email account is now set up.

Checking Your New Email Account

  1. Access Webmail

    • Click the Email Accounts icon in cPanel again.
    • Scroll down to find your new email account and click Access Webmail.
  2. Choose a Webmail Application

    • Select from Horde, Roundcube, or SquirrelMail to access your email.

Note:

  • You can also access your email via the web by typing http://yourdomain.com/webmail in your browser (replace yourdomain with your actual domain name).
  • To configure email clients on your devices, click Configure Mail Client next to the email account in cPanel. This page provides settings for both IMAP (recommended) and POP3.
